For the last 13 years Barry was a district director and was responsible for the safety and soundness of banks in his district. As such, he dealt with complex and problem banks and the administration of corrective supervisory action when necessary. Barry holds the designation of Certified Financial Examiner. | |
| Name: John A. Adams, III CPA Bio: John Adams has many years experience in the finance field. As a Supervisory Liquidation Specialist in the 1990's John was assigned to resolve and collect the assets of 16 failed banks valued at $550 million. He controlled all aspects of distressed asset disposition including sales, collections, legal action and bankruptcies. More recently, John filled different positions with the FDIC ranging from examining banks to a position with the Inspector General. | |
| Name: Jim O'Callahan Bio: Jim O'Callahan has been involved in lending since 1980. He was Vice President of a company specializing in making secured Working Capital loans to companies that cannot obtain traditional bank loans. Jim was responsible for the overall collateral and financial monitoring of a portfolio of approximately 60 accounts and was also responsible for identifying and liquidating problem loans. He has serviced $1 million to $15 million loans with reliance on inventory, equipment and real estate loans and accounts receivable collateral. Besides being responsible for the financial and collateral monitoring of a portfolio of accounts Jim also has experience in underwriting, loan documentation and loan closing. | |
| Name: Joe Wolen Bio: Joe Wolen has a diversified background including sales, management and financial analysis, all in the real estate industry. He started his career as a bank Examiner for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He has served as a real estate asset management and leasing consultant since 1991. He has taken post graduate courses in Real Estate finance, appraisal and Investment and analysis and is a licensed real estate broker. | |
| Name: Jerome Turley Bio: Jerome Turley was with the Alabama Banking Department 25 years. Most recently, Jerome served as Supervisory Bank Examiner with responsibility for supervising the Large Bank Division. He was responsible for the supervision of the 5 largest regional banks chartered in Alabama. Jerome, in addition to having taught Economics at a college in Alabama also served on the staff of the Bank Simulation School and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. | |
| Name: Bill Gest Bio: Bill Gest has worked in commercial banking since the early 1970's, primarily focusing on commercial real estate and credit review. He joined SunTrust in 1986 as Real Estate Administration Manager, involved in underwriting and construction administration. Later, he served various roles in credit review with SunTrust, and was Manager of the Florida Credit Review staff when he retired in 2005. |
